Man dies in Elgin crash

A South Bunbury man died in a crash near Capel yesterday.

Police say the 43-year-old was driving a Kia Cerato hatchback on Elgin Road about 3pm when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

The man died at the scene.

Major crash officers are investing the incident and asking for anyone with information to contact police.

The crash occurred about 1km south of Clarke Road in Elgin.

Anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle prior to the incident, or who might have dash cam vision in the area, is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
