Marist big winners
Marish put on the performance of the season, defeating Collie 14-0 in the men’s South West Hockey League at the weekend.
Alby Lawrence scored six goals, while Daniel Sampey slotted three in the massive victory.
Josh Marnam and Marcus Apanah were solid with two goals, while Matthew Barbetti scored the one.
Ben Payne and Nayton Colombera scored two goals each in Wests’ 5-1 victory over the struggling TownsSouth.
Miles Armstrong also scored for the Busselton-based side, who are sitting on equal points with reigning champions Boyanup.
The All Blacks were forced to battle for their win, with Dan Trigwell and Braydon Dalton scoring in their 2-0 triumph over Associates.
This weekend Marist take on Wests in a clash of the leaders in Busselton on Saturday.
Boyanup and the bottom-placed Exies play in Bunbury tomorrow at 8.05pm and TownsSouth and Associates square up at 4.45pm on Saturday in Bunbury.
