The Phillip McLeod-trained Al Di La is looking to claim his second career win when he takes to the Bunbury Turf Club on Sunday.

Having broken his maiden status earlier this month, the four-year-old gelding will race in the Class One Handicap which will be run across the 2038m.

Patrick Carbery will once again take the saddle of Al Di La, eight days after winning the prestigious $1 million Group One Magic Millions Kingston Town Classic (1800m) aboard Pounamu.

Jockey Glenn Smith will get a rare chance to break away in the club’s leading jockey award, with reigning champion and current co-leader William Pike suspended.

Smith, Pike and Joseph Azzopardi are all locked on five wins, while Lucy Warwick (four wins) returns from a suspension.
