Dardanup Shire Council’s movies by moonlight summer series will continue on Saturday at the Eaton Foreshore.

The family-friendly movie Coco will be the feature from 7.45pm, with performances by Mr Magic, Top Jazz Ballet and the Bunbury Cheer and Dance crew from 6.45pm prior to the screening.

Organisers said the positive feedback from community members led the council to run the summer series for a second year in a row as a way of providing a relaxed and affordable family night out.

“It’s a great atmosphere, families have the freedom to enjoy the river, make use of the playground or enjoy the family entertainment before the movie,” Dardanup shire events officer Andrea Carew-Reid said.

“We are lucky enough to have a beautiful venue to hold it in to which helps.”

Spice Journey, Bunsen’s Burgers, McLare’s Stuffed Spuds, Xpresso 2 You Coffee and ice-cream vans will all be on hand to provide nourishment from 6pm.

“Outdoor movies appeal to a variety of demographics; people of all ages come along, it’s a nice way to bring the community together,” Ms Carew-Reid said.

“Entry to the event is free and people have the option to bring a picnic or buy from the food vans.”
