The classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I will grace the stage at the New Lyric Theatre later this month, presented by the talented Bunbury Musical Comedy Group.

Set in Siam in 1862, English Widow Anna Leonowens and her young son arrive at the Royal Palace in Bangkok to serve as tutor to the King’s many wives and children.

The tale which explores the culture clash of East versus West follows as Anna and the King grow to understand and eventually respect one another in a truly unique love story.

The unmissable performance features memorable songs including I Whistle A Happy Tune, Getting to Know You, Hello, Young Lovers, Shall we Dance? and many more.

Performances will run on the evenings of October 20,21, 27 and 28, with matinees on October 22 and 29.
