Naming airport roads hits turbulence
The process of naming roads at Bunbury Airport has been stalled in an effort to find street names that recognise some of the city’s aviation greats.
Bunbury City Council was to vote on four street names for internal roads at the airport, but deferred the matter after concerns were raised about the lack of Bunbury identities recommended.
All of the names put to council were Australian Aviation Hall of Fame inductees, but none had ties to Bunbury.
