In a massive coup for basketball in the South West, the Perth Wildcats will take on the Adelaide 36ers in a pre-season clash on Friday night, September 9, at the Eaton Recreation Centre.

Tip off for the game is 6.30pm.

Aside from their game commitments, the South Western Times understands a number of headline players — including Bryce Cotton and new import TaShawn Thomas — are also expected to participate in a meet-and-greet on Saturday morning with fans at a sports store in Bunbury.

The two-game series will conclude on September 11, when both sides will play a game at HBF Arena (1pm) in Joondalup.

Both teams are no strangers to the South West, locking horns in a pre-season scrimmage back in 2019 at the South West Sports Centre.

On this particular night, the Wildcats pipped the 36ers 100-98, with Jesse Wagstaff coolly slotting a jump shot with 1.9 seconds left in the contest.

Ticket information for the game will be released to the public in coming days by the Wildcats.
