New sponsor boosts Bunbury carols event

South Western Times

A significant sponsorship from The Apprentice and Traineeship Company will ensure Bunbury’s popular annual Christmas in the City continues to grow.

The company will contribute $20,000 per year for the next five years towards the Carols Concert, making a total commitment of $100,000.

To be known as the Carols Concert presented by The Apprentice and Traineeship Company, this popular showcase of talent is a highlight of Christmas in the city, which also includes a street parade through the CBD.

This year’s event will be held on December 10 and is expected to attract about 15,000 people.

Council events, tourism and promotion manager Isabell Evans said the generous donation meant the event could reach new heights.

“Christmas in the City is one of Bunbury’s biggest events as it brings the community together, so we are always looking at making it bigger and better than the previous year’s event,” she said.
