Nine players selected to play for WA Country

The South West will be heavily represented at July’s Under-16 Australian Junior Championships after nine players were selected across Country WA’s two teams.

Cody Bell, Devan Craig, Taj Cross, Brayden Jones (Bunbury) Rhys Barrett (Australind), Rohan Stokes and Jack Flynn (Busselton) were all chosen in the boys team.

South West Slammers men’s coach Carl Catalano will lead the side.

Zaya Black (Bunbury) and Leah York (Australind) were picked in the girls team, with Annika Luff (Busselton) picked as a reserve.

All the South West representatives play for the Printsync South West Slammers in the WA Basketball League.

Teams from across Australia will meet to play for Australian honours in the annual competition.

The championships will be held from July 6 to 13 at the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
