Edith Cowan University’s South West Campus has unveiled a new nursing and midwifery demonstration ward and simulation facility.

The high-tech teaching facility features 24 hospital beds, a range of medical equipment and life-like manikins across four wards that are designed to replicate the real-life healthcare environment.

A stand-out feature is the high fidelity ward which resembles a hospital high dependency unit.

Staff can control the space remotely, giving students a life-like experience of working independently with unwell patients.
