Two sides who showed promise in week one of the Bunbury Basketball Association’s senior summer competition have an opportunity to open their account tonight at the South West Sports Centre.

The Dunsborough Oilers and Aces Sky displayed plenty of resilience in their opening round A-Women defeats and face off tomorrow with a chance to build positive momentum.

The dynamic duo of Adele and Dana East benefited the Oilers greatly as they pushed hard across all four quarters against Tornadoes Black.

It will be an all Tornadoes affair in the other game, with both sides full of talent. On one side, Ebony Bilcich will be keen to back up her awesome round one effort for Black, while Phoebe Freeman will be one to watch for Red.

Bilcich will no doubt still be riding the highs of a memorable Saturday night, when she was also awarded the life members award from the South Bunbury Football Club due to her efforts during club basketball’s off-season.

In A-Men action, Bulls can extend their winning streak with victory over fellow unbeaten side Aces Sky, with all eyes on whether Travis Durnin will build on his solid 30-point game on opening night.

Action tips off at 7.30pm.
