Olympian to pop in to Bunbury for swim event

Olympic gold medallist Kylie Palmer will be in Bunbury this weekend as part of the 2018 Australia Swims Bunbury event.

The two-day event will start tomorrow at the South West Sports Centre where the Bunbury Swimming Club will host a racing carnival, while there will also be a pool party for those looking to have some fun.

From 2.30pm there will also be an Optus Junior Dolphins Clinic, where aspiring swimmers will be able to learn skills to improve.

Then on Sunday at Koombana Bay there will be the Open Water Swim Carnival.

Three divisions of racing will take to the water, where Palmer will be in attendance, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

From 1.30pm there will be a two-hour Optus Junior Dolphins Fun Beach Carnival, which will include a treasure hunt, team wade relay and sandcastle competition.
