Page turns for Dalyellup library move

South Western Times

Behind the scenes work to relocate the Dalyellup Public Library to the Dalyellup Shopping Centre is under way.

Capel shire chief executive officer Paul Sheedy said the library would officially open on July 27 due to the fit-out taking longer than expected to start.

He said the community would be able to enjoy a raft of activities at the opening including Storytime and Rhymetime, before official proceedings begin at 6pm.

Residents will also be entertained with live performances and many roaming book characters.

Mr Sheedy said the relocation to a bigger premises would ensure the Capel shire’s library facilities and services could meet the growth of the area.

“Library staff will be able to provide more programs for residents to attend, such as book visits, author talks, and adult education classes,” he said.
