A party worker who will dish out how-to-vote cards on Saturday has called for civility on election day.
Findlay Osborn said he had noticed a deterioration in voters attitudes towards party workers in the 15 years he had handed out cards.
“In my experience you don’t shove cards under people’s noses, you offer them with a smile,” he said. “It’s not great when in turn you are treated poorly.
“I just got my roster for election day and so did mum. If someone gets into me, I can get over it, but the idea of someone being unpleasant to mum is very sad.”
