The Bunbury Bowling Club was a hive of activity over Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Iron Jack Open Men’s Fours capturing the imagination of the community.

A competition based on fair play and fellowship, more than 200 players from across metropolitan and regional WA came together for the two-day carnival.

Aside from the quality of play, a number of foursomes were comprised of players from different clubs, which led to plenty of friendly banter and bonding opportunities following the completion of each end.

As the South Western Times was going to print on Wednesday afternoon, the business end of the competition was getting under way, with spirits high across all of the Bunbury Bowling Club’s greens.
