Police investigate reports of kids with “gings”

Bunbury police are investigating reports children have been using homemade slingshots to shoot birds and smash windows.

Officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Mal Jones said police were “keeping an eye out” following at least one report of damage at the weekend.

A car’s windows were shattered at Bunbury Hockey Stadium in Withers on Sunday.

Sen. Sgt Jones said police believed a “ging” was used and the incident was being investigated.

He also said there had been unconfirmed reports a group of children was using a slingshot to shoot at birds in the Withers area.
