Police look for man after girl approached in Dalyellup

Police are on the hunt for a man who tried to coax an 11-year-old girl into a white van he was driving in Dalyellup yesterday.

The girl was walking home from school near Hornibrook Road and Norton Promenade about 5pm when she was approached by the man driving the van.

Police say the man tried to coax the girl into the vehicle on two occasions.

Bunbury detectives are calling for information to help with their investigation.

The man is described as dark-skinned, aged between 30 and 40 years, bald with a beard and moustache and a small tattoo on his wrist.

He was wearing a hi-vis vest with a Kangaroo label.

The car is described as a white van with a double door rear opening and silver painted rims.

The van has a dent in the right front guard and a big aerial on the back.
