Police are pleading with the public to take extra care during the festive period after a car rolled over on Old Coast Road yesterday.

A man was flown to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC helicopter after he rolled a ute on the busy road near Laura Avenue just after midday.

The driver was conscious and talking to paramedics, but the extent of his injuries is not known.

The two passengers in the car were checked by St John Ambulance paramedics, but were released upon their request.

Australind police acting Sen. Sgt Paul Williams said police were yet to determine the cause of the crash, but stressed that drivers must follow the road rules for their own safety and that of other road users.

“Generally someone is to blame and they are putting other road users at risk,” he said.
