Pollard finishes fifth
Bunbury’s Sean Pollard finished fifth in the snowboarding SB-UL banked slalom at the 2018 Winter Paralympics in PyeongChang today.
The 26-year-old went into the finale in fourth spot, but could not better his second run time of 53.84.
In the finale, Pollard finished with a time of 55.39, with the USA’s Mike Minor winning from Austria’s Patrick Mayrhofer and Australia’s Simon Patmore.
The result follows up from Pollard’s ninth-placed finish in the SB-UL snowboard cross on Monday.
Pollard finished more than three seconds behind Minor, while missed a medal by 1.78 seconds.
