Pollard heads into final run in good position
Bunbury’s Sean Pollard is a chance to claim Australia’s second Winter Paralympic Games gold medal, as he heads into today’s snowboarding SB-UL banked slalom finale in fourth place.
The 26-year-old was in sixth place after his third run, but cut almost four seconds off his time in the second run to boost himself into fourth position.
Pollard’s time of 53.84 is only 1.88 seconds off the time of Austria’s Patrick Mayrhofer, who is in the gold medal position.
The final will be run just after 1pm.
