Pollard just misses finals

Bunbury’s Sean Pollard has just missed out on qualifying for the quarter finals of the Winter Paralympics snowboard cross, finishing 0.13 of a second behind Italian Jacopo Luchini in PyeongChang.

Pollard, 26, qualified seventh for the 1/8 finals after runs of 1:06.57 and 1:04.03 in the solo qualifiers, before falling just behind Luchini in his first one-on-one race.

The former footballer will now prepare for the banked slalom event on Friday.
