Round one of the 2018/2019 Bunbury and Districts Cricket Association has been washed out, with the association’s executive making the decision on Friday not to hold any senior fixtures today.

Association president Paul Gardener said the 100 per cent likelihood of rain forecast for Saturday was taken into account when making the call and clubs will now have an extra week to prepare their pitches.

Gardener added a decision will be made in coming weeks as to whether the round will be abandoned or rescheduled for later in the season.
