Bunbury can expect damaging winds of up to 100kmh later today according to the Bureau of Meteorology as a cold front moves across the South West.

Bureau senior forecaster Matthew Boterhoven said more wild weather was expected to hit the city this afternoon.

“We’ve got a cold front moving over the South West capes as we speak, we just had a gust which was up to 100kmh,” Mr Boterhoven said.

“Around Bunbury later today we could see around 15-20ml and another gusty storm with possible damaging winds.”

Mr Boterhoven said the cold front would bring cooler temperatures for Saturday with a maximum of 15C forecast.

“On Saturday conditions will start to ease and we may see a little bit of small hail very early and the winds could be a little bit gusty to start off with, but will ease up throughout the day,” Mr Boterhaven said.
