Impressive indigenous artwork attracted a big crowd to Bunbury Regional Art Galleries on Friday night for the Noongar Country exhibition opening.

Art Gallery of WA Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts curator Carly Lane opened the 2017 exhibition, which is themed “Six Seasons” and showcases artists’ stories about connection to country.

Donnybrook artist Melissa Kahn won Most Outstanding award for her art piece while Naomi Grant was awarded Highly Commended and Cassandra Jetta won the Youth Category for her artwork.

The galleries are free entry and the exhibition runs until September 3.
