Sixteen charged in raids across South West
The president of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang is among 16 people who have been charged following raids on several South West properties where more than $174,000 in cash and 56g of methamphetamine were allegedly uncovered.
Gang Crime Squad, Bunbury and Busselton detectives and Australind police searched 13 properties across the region on Monday and Tuesday.
Police allege the cash and meth along with about 80g of MDMA, six cannabis plants, a stolen hunting rifle, sawn-off rife, three modified handguns, a stolen off-road motorcycle and high value jewellery were located and seized in the raids.
Police have laid more than 50 charges relating to drug and firearm offences on 12 men and four women.
Police say the search warrants were part of an ongoing effort targeting the alleged unlawful activities of the motorcycle gang and its members selling trafficable amounts of prohibited drugs in the region.
More as it comes to hand.
