The PrintSync South West Slammers men’s side will be bolstered by a 201cm “free-scoring” forward with the team signing its second American import.

Newly-appointed head coach John Triscari has signed Tyler Livingston, a division one graduate from UMASS Lowell in the American East Conference.

Livingston was in the top 25 of multiple shooting categories including an impressive 46 per cent from beyond the arc to go along with averages of more than 13 points and four rebounds a game in his senior year.

The 24-year-old has the ability to play inside in both offence and defence and can comfortably cover taller match-ups in the post and smaller players on the perimeter, according to the club.

Off the court, Livingston has a degree in finance and also runs his own coaching and development basketball organisation in his hometown of Lowell, Massachusetts.

Livingston said he was looking forward to the 2019 season in Bunbury.

“I am excited to have signed with the South West Slammers for the 2019 season,” Livingston said.

“With the combination of talented players, experienced coaching and a great community surrounding the team it was an easy decision.

“I look forward to this next season ambitiously to both win a lot of basketball games but also get the chance to experience life in the beautiful city of Bunbury.”

Livingston is coming off a stand-out season in the LEB Plata division in Spain where he helped his club, Albacete, get to the play-offs.

The signing is the latest in Triscari’s growing side with American powerhouse Brian Voelkel and veteran Michael Lay already re-signing with the club.
