Smoke alert for Burekup

A smoke alert has been issued in Burekup due to a prescribed burn in the area.

Department of Fire and Emergency Services say the smoke is expected to clear later today, but drivers are being urged to travel with care, in particular near South Western Highway.

Motorists should drive with headlights on and watch out for emergency service workers.

No roads have been closed.
