Katie-Jayne Grieve will become the first South West footballer to play in the AFLW after being named in the team for Carlton's clash against the Brisbane Lions at Ikon Park on Saturday.

The 20-year-old is one of two inclusions for the Blues for this weekend’s game.

Grieve was recruited from South Bunbury in the 2017 AFLW Rookie Draft after just one season for the Tigers, where she won the inaugural women's best and fairest.

Carlton have won both their games this season, while Brisbane are looking for their second win of the season.
