South West Slammers women’s side set to face another stern challenge against second-placed Warwick Senators

South West Slammers women’s side will face another stern challenge when they take on second-placed Warwick Senators at Warwick Stadium on Saturday night. A second straight year without a win looks to be on the cards for the battling outfit, whose losing streak now sits at 46 games. The Senators, who have won 10 of their last 11 games, feature two of the league’s best players in Perth Lynx guard Chloe Forster and former league MVP Stacey Barr. * Shane Goff’s men’s side will look to snap a four-game losing streak and stay off the bottom of the ladder against the eighth-placed Senators. A strong Warwick lineup includes the Perth Wildcats-contracted Michael Harris, who is dominating the league with averages of 26.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, and former Adelaide 36er Todd Withers, who is going at a rate of 24.6 points and 9.1 rebounds in each contest. Slammers’ product Brody England is also on the Senators roster, averaging 8.6 points per game. The Slammers will have a rest advantage in both games, with Warwick set to take on Perth Redbacks on Friday night. The women’s game gets under way at 5pm before the men’s contest tips off at 7pm.
