It was a special Saturday at Scott Reserve in Perth, with seven members of the Jetta family playing alongside each other for Perth Football League outfit High Wycombe.

One of the seven representatives was former Melbourne Demons star Neville Jetta, who grew up in Bunbury prior to his career at the highest level.

In a written statement, Jetta said he was extremely grateful for the opportunity.

“It was such a special weekend back home, pulling on the High Wycombe guernsey to play with my brothers in front of our family and friends,” he said. “(We were) all a bit slower, a few more grey hairs and carrying a few extra kg’s — but it was a day that is now an unbelievable highlight for me.

“I will have a smile on my face for a long time thinking of the game and moments pre/post off the field. Thanks to all that made it possible.”

High Wycombe, who compete in the C1 division, defeated Thornlie 12.10 (82) to 7.11 (53).
