Bunbury City Council will tonight allocate $150,000 for the first works at the site of the long-awaited water splash park.

The council will undertake the capital works at the Sykes Foreshore site, including upgrades to parking, toilet facilities and existing playground.

It is expected the work will start straight away to allow the Koombana Bay Caravan Park owners to get to work on building the splash park.
