A yacht remained stranded on a Bunbury beach yesterday after strong winds forced the vessel off its mooring on Friday night.

It is understood the timber yacht was moored in Koombana Bay before it drifted to shore between The Cut and Bunbury Port.

Bunbury Sea Rescue crews were notified about 3am Saturday morning, but nothing could be done to recover the vessel.
