SWFL women’s: All 10 teams to descend on Collie Recreation Ground for Gather Round

All 10 South West Football League women’s sides will descend on Collie Recreation Ground for a ‘Gather Round’ on Saturday. With the league, reserves and colts competitions on a bye due to country championships, women’s football will take centre stage in the region. Hosts Collie will take on ladder-leaders Harvey Bulls in the final game of the day at 4pm. Harvey will be smarting off their first loss of the season to Bunbury last Saturday, while the last-placed Eagles will be looking to grab their second win of the season. A clash between third-placed Busselton and fifth-placed Dunsborough at 1pm shapes as the game of the round. The Magpies, who sit two wins behind Bunbury and one behind the Bulls, will be looking to keep up with the competition’s pacesetters, while the Sharks will be looking to hold onto their place in the top five and break a form slump which has seen them drop four of their last five games. In the other fixtures, Bunbury will take on Eaton at 10am, South Bunbury will play Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault at 11.30am and Donnybrook will play Carey Park 2.30pm.
