TAFE scholarships now up for grabs

South Western Times

Twenty pre-apprenticeship electrotechnology scholarships are up for grabs for South West residents who are interested in kick-starting a career in the energy sector.

The scholarships offered by Western Power will cover all fees to study at South Regional TAFE’s Bunbury and Albany campuses.

Energy Minister Ben Wyatt said it was a “terrific opportunity” for people living in regional WA.

“The McGowan Government has always had a strong focus on real training which leads to real jobs, and these scholarships are a great symbol of that commitment,” he said.

“I encourage all interested parties to complete their application in order to have the best chance of securing one of these tremendous opportunities.”

Applications are open for semester 1, 2018, and will close on February 12. For details, visit www.southregionaltafe.wa.edu.au.
