Teen walks away from downhill crash

Australind High School student Logan Wakeling was thankful to walk away from a crash while competing at Albany’s Urban Downhill contest on Sunday, as part of the Southern MTB festival.

The 15-year-old Bunbury mountain-biker crashed face-first into the pavement after taking a jump.

“It was my race run, so my final run for the day - I went to jump the full distance but came up a bit short,” he said. Logan grazed his hip and his arm.
