Teen’s jaw broken after hit from behind in Millbridge assault

Bunbury detectives are continuing the investigation into a serious assault in Millbridge on Sunday which left a teen with a broken jaw.

The 18-year-old victim was taken from Bunbury Hospital to Fiona Stanley Hospital for surgery and spoke with detectives on Thursday.

It is alleged that about 12.30am on Sunday, December 15, the victim was hit from behind by an unknown suspect while attempting to diffuse a situation between a friend and another person on Apsley Circle.

Det-Sen. Const. Kelly Grootveld said the victim did not see his attacker.

Anyone who was in the area around the above time who has dash-cam footage, or CCTV from their homes, is urged to come forward, and anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
