Thieves target stuff that’s left out

Kate FieldingSouth Western Times

Bunbury police have made renewed calls for people to lock-up following a spate of opportunistic crimes in the city.

Officer-in-charge Sen. Sgt Mal Jones said caravan parks and unlocked cars were being targeted by thieves.

He said all three of Bunbury’s major caravan parks had been hit in the past week.

“They’re targeting money, electrical and moveable items,” he said.

“People are out there on the prowl and they will target whatever you leave out. People need to remain vigilant and lock up.”

He also said warmer weather could play a role and anyone who noticed suspicious behaviour should contact police on 131 444.
