Aces Navy have consolidated a spot inside the top-four of the Dale Alcock Homes Bunbury and Districts Basketball Association women’s A-Grade competition with a 70-58 win over the Busselton Bullets.

The Bullets are yet to win a game this season and despite missing player-coach Kate Fielding on Friday night, Aces Navy never looked like losing.

Ace’s Raya Thompson was the star of the game, scoring a game-high 22 points, while teenager Hannah Kurek hit three three-pointers on her way to 16 points.

Tori Dugan was also in fine form for Aces, scoring 18 points, as every player got on the scoreboard.

Busselton struggled under the net, with Clair Colegate’s 21 points the only highlight.

Meanwhile, Bulls lost their first game of the season, with Tornadoes grabbing a six-point win.

Aces White had the bye.

Women’s basketball will not be played tonight, as reported in the Bunbury Herald.

Action returns Friday, January 6 at the South West Sports Centre.
