In the run up to Christmas, there is so much on in our regional that it was really hard to pick just 10 things. But here we go ...

1. Jimmy Barnes

Australian music legend Jimmy Barnes is heading to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

Having just released his autobiography, Working Class Boy, Cold Chisel frontman and acclaimed solo performer will bring his life story to the stage.

Thursday night’s show will be an intimate night of storytelling mixed with Barnesy’s much-loved songs.

The Leschenault Lady will be honoured at a special event in Boyanup on Sunday.

South West Rail and Heritage Centre's latest event aims to honour an iconic train.

The Leschenault Lady Love-In will be a tribute to the historic locomotive, featuring talks about its history, stories of its work and details of the ongoing restoration work.

Check your list twice to make sure it includes a trip to the Hornibrook Road Christmas party.

The Dalyellup street, well-known for its Christmas lights displays between Sapphire Road and Sherwood Drive, will be filled with food and entertainment for a special family event.

4. Salvos Ride

Keen riders can take their motorbike for a spin on Sunday while supporting a good cause.

The Legendary Rat Pack of Frank Sinatra (Robbie Howard), Dean Martin (Johnny Edwards) and Sammy Davis Jr (Nicholas Brooks) are going to be brought to life with a special stage performance at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre this December.

There will also be a sausage sizzle available and various venues around the South West will also accept toy donations.

5. Rat Pack

Tribute act The Rat Pack from Vegas has come direct from their home town following a sold out tour of the US and the UK.

Frank, Dean and Sammy will be lighting up the stage as they bring back the grand old days of those classic crooner hits that are much known and loved.

Friday night’s show is set to provide a huge dose of nostalgia.

6. Twenty20 cricket

All the thrills of Twenty20 cricket will excite Bunbury fans on the weekend.

Hay Park and Collie will host Saturday matches before Harvey, Eaton and Dalyellup take over on Sunday.

7. Choice of markets

There will be plenty of opportunities to score a unique Christmas present on the weekend.

Head along to Queens Gardens between 8am and 1pm on Saturday for the fortnightly Bunbury markets or take a trip to Donnybrook or Boyanup.

8. Sunday races

Racing fans will have reason to rejoice on Sunday afternoon at the the Bunbury Turf Club.

It continues a busy season for the renovated club and is the third Sunday meeting in the past month.

9. Star Wars

Get ready for a special midnight screening of the new Star Wars film at Grand Cinemas in Bunbury on Thursday.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is based around Jyn Erso, who is arrested by the Rebel Alliance and asked for information about the Death Star.

Felicity Jones and Ben Mendelsohn are among the stars of this action-adventure film.

10. Sisters Doll

Sisters Doll will play in Bunbury as part of their first WA tour in more than two years.

The band will bring their electric live show to the Prince of Wales Hotel, fresh from being in the top five of reality show Australia’s Got Talent. The band is heading back to where it all began ahead of their second album which is due to be released early next year.
