South West traffic officers are investigating a collision in Bunbury that left a 12-year-old girl with serious injuries yesterday afternoon.

According to police, the girl got off a bus on Blair Street near the intersection with Hayes Street about 3.25pm and was crossing the road when she was hit by a Subaru Forester going around the stopped bus.

The driver of the car stopped and helped the girl until ambulance officers arrived and took her to Bunbury Hospital with serious injuries where she remains in a stable condition.

Anyone who saw the incident has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
