Thieves left a trail of destruction in a brazen ram raid at Grand Cinemas Bunbury overnight.

Bunbury detectives are investigating the raid and if it is linked to at least two vehicles stolen in the Bunbury area overnight.

The thieves rammed their way into the cinema complex through one of the entrances before targeting an ATM.

Detectives could not yet confirm any further details with an investigation under way.

Parts of the building were significantly damaged in the raid.

The cinema was still operating today before a power outage forced movie-goers to evacuate about 3pm.
