Free Wi-Fi is the latest addition to the redeveloped Koombana Foreshore, with the service going live today.

No password is required to access the service – users can simply select the network and browse away 24 hours per day, seven days a week.

The Wi-Fi is accessible from the amphitheatre to the playground.

The foreshore joins a growing list of city-owned facilities with free accessible Wi-Fi.

Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said providing free Wi-Fi was just one of the ways the city was making progress in becoming a Smart City.

“If you visit any major city in the world, they have one thing in common and that is free accessible Wi-Fi for its visitors,” Mr Brennan said.

“Watch this space as we begin to integrate further smart initiatives into the city.”
