Two South West stars shone brightly for East Fremantle during their 5.4 (34) to 4.4 (28) win against Subiaco on Saturday at Leederville.

Aside from Busselton product Beth Beckett (18 disposals, three tackles) again providing plenty of grunt in the corridor, the Sharks welcomed back inspirational senior figure Larissa Versaci (Harvey Bulls) back into the starting side.

As she has done for several years, Versaci’s tactical awareness and ability to deliver the ball into the teeth of goal was a real asset for her side.

Additionally, Sharon Wong was excellent at the coalface, which soaked up valuable time in the dying minutes.

Elsewhere on Saturday afternoon, Bethany Bond (Donnybrook) booted three goals in South Fremantle’s 6.13 (49) to 3.3 (21) win against West Perth, while Kloe Bassett (Bunbury) and Charli Wicksteed (Donnybrook) were also able to find the footy throughout.

On Sunday, Bunbury’s Ebony Bilcich made her long-awaited return for Peel Thunder against East Perth from a knee injury, while former Collie Eagles captain Tahlia Dawson-Gibbs played her first game for the Royals, after joining the club from South Fremantle.

In the remaining game of the round, Claremont defeated Swan Districts 5.10 (40) to 2.4 (16), with Bunbury’s Ruby Mahony (17 disposals), Lauren Quaife (HBL, 16 hitouts) and Busselton’s Demi Liddle all featuring prominently.
