WANL 2023: Souwest Jets look to avenge round seven efforts in second chance against West Coast Warriors

After previously falling just short against the West Coast Warriors by six goals, the Souwest Jets have another chance to avenge one of their strongest performances of the season so far.

Just two weeks after taking on the Warriors at the Gold Netball Centre, the Jets are set to face off against them once again this Friday night during round nine of the 2023 WANL season.

It comes as the Jets look to regroup after being grounded by the Southside Demons 72-45 last weekend, following a stretch of matches determined by less than 15 goals.

While the Demons were quick to fire out the gate and leave the Jets to play catch-up netball once again, the Jets did not go down without a fight.

A solid final quarter performance saw the Jets put the pressure on the Demons, scoring 17 goals to the Demons’ 20.

However, it was not enough to help the Jets on their quest to record their first win of the season.

After previously managing to get a head-start on the Warriors in round seven, the Jets will look to repeat that ideal start and hold off the strong defensive pressure and attacking this time around.

While the Jets put up a strong performance and outscored the Warriors 14-10 during the final term of that match, the Warriors prevailed 52-46.
