Want to know what’s best for school lunch boxes?

South Western Times

Cancer Council WA is encouraging parents to attend lunch box packing workshops in Eaton and Bunbury after statistics released last year show some of the lowest adequate fruit intake in the region.

Cancer Council education officer Shenae Norris said model estimates released by the Social Health Atlas of Australia in December showed Harvey had one of the highest rates of inadequate fruit intake in the South West, and Bunbury was ranked eighth.

Families are invited to attend two events to raise awareness of healthy lunches for kids, at a workshop at Eaton Community Library at 10am on Thursday, and a display at Bunbury Forum on January 23. For more information contact the Cancer Council WA at Dot’s Place on 9721 9555.
