Water park update

The future of a water playground in Bunbury will be determined this calendar year, according to Mayor Gary Brennan.

A $1 million loan has again been carried over in Bunbury City Council’s latest financial plan and while the highly-anticipated playground has been on the agenda for more than two years it is yet to become a reality.

Mr Brennan described the matter as a “long, drawn-out process”.

“We should know this year if the Koombana Bay Resort are going to do a joint venture with the city,” Mr Brennan said.
