WA Premier Mark McGowan visited Bunbury yesterday to promote the seaside city to Perth tourists, and how do we repay him?

Smashed car windows and stolen goods.

Touring our wonderful Dolphin Discovery Centre, with Perth radio personalities Nathan, Nat and Shaun, Mr McGowan boasted the amazing tourist offerings in Bunbury.

He encouraged Perth travellers to stop, stay and appreciate our beautiful beaches and amazing culinary offerings.

Bunbury has changed and it is a fantastic tourist destination, he explained on State television.

Meanwhile – ironically – Bunbury’s finest were busy smashing windows on the Thrifty rental van and government vehicle the group was travelling in.

The opportunistic thieves nicked off with items from both vehicles.

Safe to say Mr McGowan left with a lasting impression of our coastal city. Perth tourists will be sure to hear all about it when they tune into Nova 937.

Police are still investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
