Bunbury will host nine-time National Basketball League champions the Perth Wildcats for a pre-season clash against the Adelaide 36ers next month.

The match-up at the South West Sports Centre on September 6 is part of the Wildcats pre-season schedule in preparation for the team’s season opener against Melbourne United in October.

Tip-off for the game will be 6.30pm.

With highly talented imports Bryce Cotton and Terrico White returning this season, the Wildcats will be looking to gather early momentum in a bid to defend their 2018-19 NBL title.

The Wildcats will also be hosting two community clinics on the Saturday following the match at the sports centre as part of their visit to the South West.

Mayor Gary Brennan said he was thrilled to have both the reigning champions and Adelaide in the city.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to host two world-class organisations in our city,” Mr Brennan said.

“It’s great for our local fans and young people to see the athletes up close and to be able to get involved with the clinics.”

Tickets for the match can be purchased here and registrations for the clinics can be completed on the Wildcats website.
