Win gives student a shortcut to home ownership

A 25-year-old Witchcliffe man became a homeowner overnight, thanks to Ventura Home Group’s Win a House campaign.

Kyle Fittler walked away with a four-bedroom, two-bathroom home design, built by Aussie Living Homes.

Mr Fittler was one of more than thousands of entrants in the draw and was the only finalist from the South West.

Arriving at the Aussie Living Homes’ head office in Perth’s Osborne Park on January 25, Mr Fittler had a one in 10 chance of winning the house.

He said it was “surreal” to hear his name called.

“It still doesn’t feel real,” he said.

“I’ve always wanted to buy land, but I’m starting to study this year, so working and studying at the same time was going to put it off for a few years.”

The law student plans to build in Brookfield.

Aussie Living Homes manager Adam Sargent said he was happy helping people start their lives.
