Woman allegedly dragged and assaulted

A Carey Park man was due to face court yesterday over a terrifying assault in which a woman was allegedly hit with a baseball bat.

Police allege a woman in her 40s was attacked in her Mandurah home by two men known to her about 9.15pm on October 4.

It is alleged the woman was dragged to the back of the property and assaulted before two necklaces were ripped from her throat.

The woman had to receive medical treatment for her injuries.

A 22-year-old Carey Park man has been charged with aggravated burglary, criminal damage and being armed in a way that may cause fear.

Another man, a 26-yera-old from Pinjarra, was also charged with aggravated home burglary, aggravated assault occasioning bodily harm and stealing.

Both were due to face Perth Magistrates Court yesterday.
